Zero Ticket Cost
All women and girls travel completely free on KSRTC ordinary, city and fast-passenger services — no fare, on every route across all 14 districts.

Simple Smart Card
A free 'Sthree Sakthi' travel card — apply once at any KSRTC depot or Akshaya centre with proof of residence. Just tap and travel.
Benefit 03
More Money in the Family
A working woman or student saves up to ₹9,000 a year on daily commute — money that goes straight back into the household budget.
Benefit 04
Safer, Freer Mobility
Free travel encourages more women to study, work and move independently — backed by women conductors and the new Women's Safety Task Force.

Boost for Working Women
Daily-wage workers, nurses, teachers and Kudumbashree members reach work without the burden of transport costs — encouraging higher workforce participation.

Stronger KSRTC

How to Apply

Getting your free 'Sthree Sakthi' travel card takes just three simple steps. No fees, no middlemen.

Visit a Centre

Go to any KSRTC depot or your nearest Akshaya / common service centre across Kerala.

Show Proof of Residence

Carry Aadhaar and any one address proof (ration card, voter ID or utility bill). Registration is free.

Tap & Travel Free

Collect your Sthree Sakthi card the same day, tap it on the bus reader, and travel free across the state.
